A tilt in geopolitics

China returned with a bang

There was a time in international politics, after the demise of U.S.S.R., when U.S. was the only super power around and in a unipolar world it dictated terms as it liked and there was nobody to defy the U.S., anyone who tried was punished severely either through sanctions or in extreme circumstances by military means.
As it happens in history again and again, the era of  U.S.  dominance slowly passed and there was the  rise of new power in China, though not directly involved in international politics. China slowly strengthened its economy and economic influence over the globe.
China slowly became an economic giant with increasing influence in international politics, while on the other hand U.S. started to lose its edge and became progressively contained and its importance took a huge blow in recent conflicts, especially the last Iranians confrontations exposed the hesitation of U.S. to engage in a full blown conflict.
On economic front, the trade war was a successful effort to gain atleas  some amount of relevancy in an already lost battle.
So in this scenario, when the corona first emerged in China, U.S. was quick to ban travel and tried its best to dent Chinese economy by leading the globe in an attempt of isolation of  China.
But the Chinese success in defeating the virus, was a huge surprise to say the least for the  whole world and especially to U.S.
Not only that but also China offered and successfully helped other countries struggling to contain the virus by sending teams of doctors and medical supplies. And most of these countries are the European states and close U.S. allies.
So what is the super power doing in this global crisis. Its trying and failing to even arrange for the tests of its residents, let alone containing  or defeating the virus.
In my analysis this is the precise moment in time, which marks the commencement of a new era. Where old super power is challenged and the dawn of bi-polar world. If not the rise of a new super power.
