The threat of corona virus to the economy is becoming a reality with every passing day as it is starting to engulf economies and throwing countries in recession.

The effect and impact of this  epidemic is truly gigantic and the global economies will crawl under its grips for a long time as it looks as of now.
    Its not even worth discussing the  situation  and developing chaos in third world and developing countries. As, even the developed world and huge economies are feeling the brunt of its force.
           With lockdowns  and airtravel restrictions the governments themselves throwing whole nations in jeopardy, no doubt contless jobs are in the process of being lost and huge telly of businesses are on the verge of collapse, in addition, nobody has a clue what is going to happen next and how to move forward.
  

On political front its the elction year and there could not be a worst time for Trump administration to face a crisis like this than in election year. All the focus and campaign promises of President Trump revolve around the economy or improving the economy and this pandemic has targeted that. With  economy in taters and thousands unemployed and a recession on the verge, its  close to impossible for Trump to be re-elected despite facing mediocre opponents.
   So it is highly likeable that some sort of delay may occur in terms of general election and current administration will try its best to run things as they are, for atleast one additional year.
  The obvious reason could be the re-establishment of economy and social security of some sort on emergency basis to aid the unemployed and poor, and very likely there will be emergency powers given to President to tackle the epidemic will be used for further extension of tenure.
